TEPA – Topsides Begonia- FPSO Pazflor

Begónia is the name given to one of the oil reservoirs off the Angolan coast in Block 17, where five new wells will be installed: three for oil extraction and two for water injection.

This project will theoretically increase production by a further 30,000 BPD (Barrels Per Day). The process is divided into two main areas: Subsea and Topside

Subsea deals with all the equipment installed on the seabed where the initial part of the production process takes place. The product is then transported to the surface (Topside), where the remaining production processes are carried out. This platform is of the FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) type, a floating unit for oil production, storage and transfer.

It was on the Topside that TCPI carried out its activities.

Project Description

TCPI provided services in E&I activities in the following areas:

Documentary analysis of detailed engineering;
Technical analysis and procurement process;
Development of quality documentation;
Construction;
Pre-commissioning;
Commissioning support.

Enginnering

Documentary analysis of detailed engineering:
Approximately 75 documents were analysed;
Approximately 150 documents were produced.

Procurement

Market research for the acquisition of different equipment according to the technical characteristics identified.
Conducting 2 FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) for a total of 3 pieces of equipment.
Involvement in the logistics process for transporting equipment and tools to Angola.

Construction

Modification of the corrosion inhibitor chemical injection system;
Modification of the condensate inhibitor chemical injection system in the gas lines;
For the activities described, 5,000 hours were spent offshore, distributed among 5 people.
