Project Description

Construction

The E&I construction part of the EO2 Project had its greatest impact on the following phases and activities:
➢ Pre dressing of 7 columns with: cable trays, lighting poles and luminaires, instrument hook ups, JB’s, cables and connections;
➢ Substation installation including: MV transformers, MV switchgear, MV cables and connections, LV CCM panels, UPS and battery chargers, DCS panels and consoles, sorting and interface cabinets, lighting system, earthing system including lightning and surge arrester system, interconnection cables between substation panels and equipment, etc;
➢ Construction on site: prefabrication and installation of supports, installation of: cable trays, panels, LV and instrumentation cables, lighting poles and devices, earthing system, power boards, instrumentation JB, instrument connections, fire detection and fighting system, gas detection system, cctv system, analyser piping and cabling installations, calibration and installation of instruments, etc;
➢Circuit testing and verification: all cable tests (continuity and megger tests), equipment inspections and tests, motor tests, lighting inspection and tests, earthing system tests, circuit verification, etc;
➢Commissioning: assistance with commissioning and start-up.
