TCPI ANGOLA performed all the Instrumentation and Electricity works in the tank construction at the Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal (LNG) in Soyo, Angola. This project consisted in the construction, testing and pre-commissioning of two tanks (A and B), with a capacity of 159,000 m3 of liquefied natural gas storage.

Project Description

Construction

Construction and installation of storage tanks A and B.
E & I works.
Instrumentation work: in battery installation, cable running, air tubes valves and hose fitting, loop checks for each instrument within the battery limit, test and calibration.
Instrumentation and communication tests of the interface units in the the battery limit.
Electricity Works: when installing and testing the limits of the batteries in all equipment; Power interface and wiring control; all the Lighting; works in the under-heating system of plates, heating cables and control panels.
Electricity and Instrumentation work required approximately 150,000 man hours with about 90 people in the peak period.
